Stuff the Bus!

Communities In Schools of Mancelona is sponsoring a summer campaign to Stuff the Bus! School is right around the corner and many children in our community will need school supplies. Please help us to make that happen!
Starting July 12, 2010 and going to September 9, 2010, we will be collecting school supplies for our area children. Donations may be dropped off at the Mancelona Family Resource Center. The Juniper Garden Club of the South Torch Lake Area will hold its August meeting on Tuesday, August 3. This is the club/s annual Memorial Meeting. We invite all interested persons to this event. Dedication of a Memorial tree with a tribute to Club Members and Families and Deceased Michigan Soldiers. The gathering will begin at 11:30 at the Alden Depot Park. Kidz Carnival

Kidz Carnival is on Friday, August 6 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the parking lot of Living Word North Church in Bellaire. Geared for the whole family, activities include an inflatable bouncehouse, games for all ages, face painting, and door prizes for all ages. Members of the local fire department will be doing live demonstrations; Deputy Bob from the Antrim County Sheriff Dept. will be available to do fingerprinting and will have information for parents on a wide range of issues. There will be free popcorn and hot dogs for everyone. All activities are free and open to the public.
